IMHRO: Letter of solidarity with the people of New York

Iranian Minorities’ Human Rights Organisation (IMHRO)

Ref.IMHRO.22

2008-09-11

Dear Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg

City Hall
New York, NY 10007

On the 7th anniversary of the terrorist attack on 11 September 2001 on the twin towers of the World Trade Centre, New York, IMHRO share the continuing sorrow of the bereaved families and people of New York on this day of remembrance.

IMHRO condemn the 11/9 al-Qaida terrorist attack on New York and similar terrorist attacks in Madrid, London and North Africa.

We hope very soon that all responsible for these terrorist attacks will be brought to justice.

Minorities in Iran share solidarity with the American nation as they taste and feel the terror and fear forced by the Iranian government on a daily basis on their lives.

Those who attacked the twin towers in New York are against liberty, free trade, democracy, human rights and all the great values which took centuries for mankind to develop.

Our thoughts and prayers will be with the families and friends and whoever was hurt by this terrorist attack.

Yours sincerely

Reza Washahi
IMHRO Director
